BioTissue announced the appointment of ophthalmic industry veteran Chris Calcaterra to its board of directors. 

Calcaterra joins the board as an independent director, bringing decades of experience across ophthalmology, medical technology, commercial strategy, physician engagement, market expansion, and board governance. He is widely recognized for his tenure as COO of Glaukos Corporation, where he helped scale the company from an emerging ophthalmic innovator into a publicly traded organization.
