Art Optical Contact Lens Inc., in partnership with Contamac, named the winners of their Specialty Contact Lens Travel Grants. These deserving individuals have demonstrated the use of Art Optical lens designs to solve patient needs in unique situations and received financial assistance to attend the Global Specialty Lens Symposium in Las Vegas last week.

Receiving travel grants were:

• Claire Chu, OD, cornea & contact lens resident at Pacific University College of Optometry – “Ocular Sagittal Height as a Better Predictor of Scleral Lens Sagittal Depth than Keratometry in a Case of Post-LASIK Ectasia”

• Annie Dong, OD, cornea & contact lens resident at University of Missouri-St. Louis College of Optometry – “Unilateral Hyperopic Orthokeratology Correction in Patients with Functionally Emmetropic Fellow Eyes”

• Wincy Chung, OD, Mission Eye Care – “Vaulting the Cornea:  Visually Rehabilitating PMD with Scleral Lenses After Failure with Corneal Gas-Permeable Lenses”

• John Kuznia, OD, cornea & contact lens resident at Pennsylvania College of Optometry – “One and Done:  Ortho-K Fitting in a Pediatric Patient with High Astigmatism”

• Louis Ramirez, OD, cornea & contact lens resident at University of Houston College of Optometry – “Visual Optimization with Scleral lenses Following Intracorneal Ring Segment Implantation”
