Myopia Profile has announced the launch of Ask Kate, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered virtual assistant designed to support eyecare professionals (ECPs) in managing the challenges of childhood myopia. The debut coincides with Myopia Action Month.

According to the company, Ask Kate is trained exclusively on Myopia Profile’s validated, evidence-based content on MyopiaProfile.com and MyKidsVision.org and provides real-time, succinct answers, available in practitioner-focused and parent-friendly formats.

Kate Gifford, PhD, BAppSc(Optom)Hons, cofounder of Myopia Profile, will present performance data from a pilot study on Ask Kate at the American Academy of Optometry on October 9, at 1:45 PM.

Access to Ask Kate is initially available by invitation, though additional access through registration can be found at portal.myopiaprofile.com/ask-kate-invite.
